Introduction
Caribbean sailing is awesome! When you add in the excitement of close quarters, cut and thrust racing, particularly on the starting line, it becomes even better!!
We offer a wide range of events sailing on our high performance Volvo Ocean 60 “Cuba Libre”, for all enthusiasts to sample this excitement as a member of the crew.
Regattas
We are very excited for the 2014/15 Regatta Calendar ahead. Our current schedule runs from June 2014 through to December 2015. In this period we plan to campaign our yachts in as many events as possible on both sides of the Atlantic including The Heineken Regatta, Antigua Sailing Week, Rolex Mini Maxi Worlds, and Les Voiles de St. Tropez to name a few.
Ocean Racing
For those who prefer a more extreme experience than “round the cans” racing in Regattas, we offer an extensive range of opportunities to sample long distance racing at it’s best. “Cuba Libre” was originally built for the Volvo Ocean Race which is why we have high hopes for her 2014/15 Ocean Racing Calendar.
We offer packages for:
Whole Yacht Charter
Charter “Cuba Libre” and bring your own racing crew. Our representative is required to be onboard for insurance purposes but does not have to fulfill important roles like skipper, helm or tactician, unless you require him to.
Where crew teams do not consist of the numbers required for truly competitive racing, we reserve the right to add further crew in the sole interest of achieving a result!
Single Crew Charter
Single crew places are available when whole yacht charters do not meet the required numbers for competitive racing. We are happy to book crew spots on an individual basis on the understanding that if a whole yacht charter provides the maximum number of crew, we will place you on an alternative yacht in the same event at no additional cost.
Our Package Inclusions & Rates vary for each event but are generally as follows:
- Our Company Representative onboard.
- Single or shared double cabin accommodation on board on a “1st come’ 1st served’ basis. Fitted sheet and pillow are provided, but please bring your own sleeping bag/blanket and towel.
- 2 days of pre event yacht familiarisation and training.
- Entry fees.
- Berthing fees.
- Yacht fuel, water and gas costs.
- Light lunch and drinking water when sailing.
Bespoke tailored packages to include airport transfers, accommodation ashore, crew suppers, and personalised race clothing are available. Please enquire for a quotation for your specific requirements.
Opportunities exist for Offshore Cruising, as we move between events. This offers the chance to get the feel of a performance racing yacht without the pressure of racing to win!
