The Yachtmaster Xpress course targets those looking for a life style change, a new career, or just an adventurous sailing experience in the Caribbean with the added bonus of training and RYA certification.
This is an intense program that includes 3 weeks of shore based training and 13 weeks of sailing around the vast majority of the islands in the Caribbean Island Chain from the Leewards in the north, to the Grenadines in the south. It culminates in the RYA/MCA Yachtmaster exam, the pinnacle qualification for most sailors.
The program costs US$14,760 and includes:
ALL accommodation during training including days off.
ALL catering when at sea, plus light lunch for classroom courses
ALL RYA course notes and certification
FREE WiFI when at school base
Refrigeration for students own provisions
The schedule of courses is as follows:
Competent Crew – Practical Sailing – Sunday April 29th – 5 days
Day Skipper Theory – Classroom Training – Sunday May 6th – 5 days
Day Skipper – Practical Sailing – Sunday May 13th – 5 days
Coastal Skipper & Yachtmaster Theory – Classroom Training – Sunday May 20th – 6 days
Radar – Classroom Training – Sunday May 27th – 1 day
First Aid – Classroom Training off site – Monday May 28th – 1 day
Diesel Engine Maintenance – Classroom Training – Tuesday May 29th – 1 day
Power Boat Level 2 – Practical Power Boating – Wednesday May 30th – 2 days
SRC(VHF) Assessment of Online Training – Friday June 1st – 1 day
Tidal Mile Building – Practical Sailing to the Grenadines and back including Coastal Skipper Practical – Sunday June 3rd – 6 weeks
Non Tidai Mile Building – Practical Sailing around the Leeward Islands, – Sunday July 15th – 4 weeks
Yachtmaster Preparation Week – Practical Sailing – Sunday August 12th – 5 days
Yachtmaster Examination – Friday August 17th – 2 days

All courses are conducted by RYA Yachtmaster Instructors.
