Not all of our training is for RYA Certification. A lot of it falls outside of the RYA Yachtmaster Scheme, particularly in respect of Mile Building for RYA/MCA Yachtmaster qualifying criteria. However, we still use RYA qualified instructors for ALL our training in order to give our students the benefit of our instructors knowledge and experience.

“It’s all about the instructor and the boat and Miramar delivered on both counts. Our instructor, Lea is a fine coach with a great understanding of the RYA curriculum, and a wealth of practical tips gained through his own experience. Lea’s coaching style is direct and no nonsense. He will gradually let you take control and the feeling of achievement after 6 weeks is fantastic.” Did we meet Raphael’s expectations? – “Yes”

Kathleen

“Ian was amazing! I really appreciate how he tailored lessons to each student’s individual needs. Within the first day we had a conversation about wanted I wanted to achieve, and that is exactly what he made sure I got out of the course. I loved the “hands on” approach. One of my expectations was to be able to rescue my husband should he fall overboard while we are alone on board (which is most of the time). The chance to use the actual equipment, to get in the water and see how it would actually go down, was extremely empowering. I now feel confident handling several possible emergency situations on my own. Thank you Ian!.” Did we meet Kathleen’s expectations? – “Yes!”
