We are Brian and Pippa, your hosts for your holiday and we will be delighted to welcome you aboard “Miramar”. Our aim is to bring professional and personal service of the highest quality to make your holiday unforgettable. We are the founders of Miramar Sailing and offer you the benefit of our wealth of experience chartering and entertaining our guests.
We are a British couple passionate about our sailing and our yacht. We have settled in the Caribbean to enjoy the beautiful sun, blue waters and sailing the region has to offer, and invite you to enjoy them with us. Our love of sailing and the Caribbean combined with our desire to introduce both to as many people as possible, has impacted on so many people. Some of them have now gone on to learn to sail and buy their own yacht!
We are both qualified and experienced yachtsmen having trained with the Royal Yachting Association of Great Britain (RYA), the most internationally recognised sailing authority in the world. We have also passed all the necessary exams to become UK Department of Trade Commercially Endorsed Ocean Yachtmasters.
Between us we have sailed over 100,000 nautical miles and experienced the varying conditions of several oceans including the Caribbean, Indian, Atlantic, Gulf of Arabia, Red Sea, English Channel and the Bay of Biscay, possibly the most hostile of them all!
We are totally safety conscious (you will be briefed accordingly) and are trained and qualified under the RYA First Aid at Sea scheme. Our attention to the safety of our guests and yacht is paramount and always will be. We are true sailors with the knowledge and experience to carry you safely to wherever you want to go!
