Your Yacht and Crew
Your yacht, “Miramar”, is a beautiful 40’ monohull. She offers safe and exciting sailing, and can accommodate 4 guests, plus her 2 crew in 3 double cabins. The cockpit is bright and airy, but well shaded under our huge bimini and spray hood, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy!
We are Brian & Pippa, a UK couple who are fun loving, down to earth and straightforward. Our life style is as relaxed as the Caribbean itself. We are both highly qualified and very experienced sailors. Our aim is to provide you, simply, effectively, and professionally, a holiday you will remember forever.
Freedom to Choose
We all have our own “Dream Holidays” and we do not presume to know what your dreams are! Below we offer some holiday suggestions based on our experience and knowledge of the Caribbean. None of these are “cast in stone”. In order to make your dreams come true we are keen to fully discuss your requirements so that, together, we can “make it happen”. Our weekly schedules are based on Saturday noon arrival and departure but can be changed to suit your flights.
We recognize that your cost of travel is significant. We want YOU to take your holiday with US so we have tailored our Sailing Holiday rates accordingly. We wish to offer you the opportunity to experience a superb Caribbean Holiday at an affordable overall price. We love what we do and this is factored into our rates.
On a Bareboat Charter you would provision the yacht at your expense. The idea is that you have maximum control over your costs. This is a good idea as it also allows us to offer your holiday at a more affordable rate, despite the fact that your charter is Crewed and NOT Bareboat. You decide how many meals you wish to take on board and how many you would like ashore. You can choose for us to pre-provision to your instructions before you join us, or shop with us after you arrive. BBQ's on board or ashore are an option.
Finally, although you are chartering a “Crewed Yacht”, you will be given every opportunity to sail the yacht yourself should you so wish. All you have to do is ask!
Caribbean Sailing Vacatoion Holiday Options
Our suggestions below apply to Antigua based holidays during the period December to April. From May, we head south on the Classic Rum Cruise to a more southerly location for the summer. You are invited to join us for all or part of the Rum Cruise and enjoy the islands that we visit. Until November, our holidays will be based around The Grenadines and Grenada, an island chain that is world renowned for its sailing, snorkelling and diving opportunities.

HOLIDAY SUGGESTIONS
LEARN TO SAIL: Either Location
To many, the art of sailing is a mystery! Sailing with your fully qualified crew, who offer you advice and instruction at every opportunity, you will be able to unravel the mystery in a matter of days. You will then have a sound basis from which you can develop your skills, seek your own qualifications and add the joy of sailing to things you can do in your life.
ISLAND HOP HOLIDAY: Either Location
From any location this is a holiday of Day Sails combined with evenings ashore to sample the culture and life styles of neighbouring islands. For example, from Antigua we have Montserrat, with its simmering volcano, the simplicity and beauty of Nevis & St Kitts, the superb and secluded 11 mile “pink” beach on Barbuda, or even the touch of France that is Guadeloupe, all are within a day sail of Antigua. These islands are merely our suggestion for a holiday based in Antigua. There are many more islands to discover from our southern summer base. All you have to do is ask!
ISLAND CIRCUIT HOLIDAY: Either Location
This is a leisurely cruise around an island with several different overnight anchorages. There will be plenty of opportunities to step ashore and enjoy the history, beaches and seclusion, or hot spots, of the island. There are many islands in the Caribbean chain please ask us for more details on your chosen location.
CLASSIC RUM CRUISE: Multi Location
Annually, during May, “Miramar” embarks on the Classic Rum Cruise. We head south with the belief that “Rum is the answer! What was the question?” Our cruise can last for up to 4 weeks and visits the islands of Guadeloupe, Iles des Saintes, Dominica, Martinique, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Bequia, Tobago Cays, Union Island, Cariacou and Grenada. En route we visit Rum Distilleries, both historic and modern, and sample the many different blends of rum throughout the islands. There are also plenty of opportunities for exploration, diving and snorkelling. Subject to availability, guests can join and leave the yacht at any island they choose on our route. YACHT & VILLA HOLIDAY: Antigua
This combination is guaranteed to suit everyone’s preferences. You may book as many days afloat, followed by as many days on land, as you choose. Land based accommodation is a two double bedroom waterfront villa in Jolly Harbour, which is an exclusive Marina & Golf Resort situated perfectly in the middle of Antigua’s west coast. REGATTAS: Antigua
Every year during April Antigua hosts two of the most prestigious Regattas in the Caribbean. The first is the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta, followed closely by Antigua Sailing Week. Each provides a different kind of sailing spectacle and neither should be missed. “Miramar” can get you “up close and personal” as we shadow the fleets and watch some of the giants of the racing scene do battle, before joining in the celebrations at the nightly parties.
