Brian and Pippa are your hosts for your Antigua based holiday who we will be delighted to welcome you aboard their yachts “Miramar”, “Phoenix” or “Danae”. Their aim is to bring professional and personal service of the highest quality to make your Miramar Sailing experience unforgettable. Brian & Pippa created Miramar Sailing in June, 2006, to offer you the benefit of their wealth of experience chartering and entertaining guests.

Brian is the Principal of Miramar Sailing School, and Pippa is the Chief Instructor.

Both are Directors of the National Sailing Academy of Antigua & Barbuda, and Brian is a Director of Antigua Yacht Club.

If you are intrigued by the mysteries surrounding the art of sailing then both Brian and Pippa will be more than happy to enlighten you with all the technicalities and practicalities involved! Take the helm, trim a sail, have a go, you will love it!

Like Brian, Ian Grant is from Sussex in the UK and has been sailing and motor cruising most of his life. He and Brian have been great friends ever since they crossed the Atlantic together in Ian’s Halberg Rassy 42 “Asterie”, completing the ARC 2005 Sailing Rally . He left the UK in September 2013 having decided that sailing instruction and skippering with Miramar Sailing was how he wished to spend his time.

In April 2015, Ian successfully graduated from RYA Cruising Instructor to RYA Yachtmaster Instructor (YMI). With Pippa and Ian now both at this level, our instructing team could not be better qualified.

Mark Wibberly originally came to Miramar Sailing from Cowes, UK, in September 2013 to do some Yachtmaster Preparation for us. He liked it so much he decided to return and join our team. During 2014 he decided to buy his own yacht and live the cruising life style, based out of Jolly Harbour.

He is highly qualified being a Yachtmaster Instructor (Sail), a Yachtmaster Examiner, and a National Powerboat Instructor. He is also an excellent teacher of the Yachtmaster Ocean Theory course. He brings to Miramar Sailing School a great deal of experience of RYA Schools in the UK.
